“So that was kind-of a bust”

Hello! My name is Saffron, and I am 10 years old. I live in Calgary Alberta. This year has been really weird. Over the Corona virus I have had a ton of time to do things that I probably would never had time for. My family and I have been going on so many hikes and bicycle rides over this spring that it’s hard to keep track of them. Two times before we had a campfire in my back yard, and I was able to invite one of my best friends over! Right now it’s okay to do that, as long as you stay 2 metres (6 feet) apart.

A few weeks after the school shut down, all the playgrounds we’re closed due to that germs are more able to stick onto metal and plastic, and that’s basically what most playgrounds are made of. For me, I really like going down to the school park 2 streets away from me, so that was kind-of a bust. But then I remember that it’s all for our safety, and if one of my friends got sick, it would be even worse for me than it is now.
